KATHMANDU, April 7: The quarterfinals line-up of the ongoing Sponsor University Cricket Cup T20 Tournament has been completed after Golden Gate International College (GGIC) and K&K College became the latest teams to book their places in the last eight on Friday.
GGIC thrashed Kathmandu University (KU) by 10 wickets while K&K defeated Rajarshi College by six wickets in the first round matches at TU Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, Tribhuvan University (TU), NIST College, Global College, Shankerdev Campus, Sahid Smarak College and Nepal Commerce Campus have already advanced to the last eight.
In the first match of the day, KU was invited to bat first after losing the toss and was packed for just 44 runs in 16 overs. Sanjay Hamal and Anoj Basnet made highest nine runs each for KU. GGIC's Suman Uday, who was declared player-of-the-match, took four wickets while Prashanna Shakya and Indrakam Manandhar pocketed two wickets each.
In reply, GGIC met the target in just 2.5 overs. Openers Bijay Gautam and Indrakamal Manandhar made 17 and 23 runs respectively remaining not out.
In the second match of the day, Rajarshi won the toss and decided to bat before making 126 runs in 20 overs losing all wickets. Sudeep Mani Nepali and Sudarshan Joshi made 29 and 26 runs respectively for Rajarshi. Kaushal Basnet and Ram Bhattarai took three wickets each for K&K.
In reply, the winning side K&K met the target in 10.3 overs losing four wickets. Player-of-the-match Ram Bhattarai made 42 runs facing 44 balls for K&k while Aldrin Shinwa contributed 28 runs off 15 balls remaining not out.
