Govt to spend Rs 960 million to purchase medical equipment

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: The Ministry of Health has said all the primary health centers across the country would be provided necessary medical equipment by the next four months.

According to Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa, the government has, as part of its commitments for the strengthening of health institutions, managed the budget of Rs 960 million to purchase medical instruments necessary for health centers across the country. 


Directives have already been issued to authorities concerned to take stock of physical infrastructure of 201 primary health centers across the country, availability of health professionals and instruments there and submitted reports to the Ministry so that it could determine the quantity of equipment necessary for them.
