Govt blacklists six construction companies for breaching contract laws

KATHMANDU, April 4: The government has blacklisted six construction companies for dilly-dallying in accomplishing the contracts on time.


Issuing a public notice on Sunday, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) blacklisted TBE Energy (India) Pvt Ltd Consortium (Leader) and PP Industries Pvt Ltd, barring the company from participating in construction work for the next three years.

Similarly, Chirag Construction, Karnali Builders, Faisal and Afzal Construction, Kushal Dev Nirman Sewa and Titung Construction Pvt Ltd have been blacklisted for the next one year.


According to the PPMO, the decision has been made as per Section 65 of Public Procurement Act, 2007. The blacklisted companies will not be allowed to participate in the purchase and construction services called by the government for the prescribed time period.
