Govt commits to implement WJA: Minister Pandey

PALPA, June 25: Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey has clarified that the government was committed to implement the Working Journalist Act (WJA).

PALPA, June 25: Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey has clarified that the government was committed to implement the Working Journalist Act (WJA). 


Speaking in the Western Development Regional level seminar organized by the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee (MWFC), Minister Pandey argued that the journalists may use different ways or to leave the profession to survive when they could not get required salary from the profession.

He urged the journalist to write on the developmental issues to expedite them for the journalists contributed a lot to establish the democracy. 


On the occasion, MWFC chair Poshan KC urged the government to distribute the public welfare advertisements to the media proportionally. 


Similarly, other journalists also urged the government to implement the WJA strictly. RSS
