KATHMANDU, March 23: Government has condemned the terrorist attack outside the British parliament building in London on Wednesday.


Issuing a press statement on Thursday, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has stated that Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Prakash Sharan Minister sent a message to British Secretary of State Boris Johnson and expressed his sadness over the incident.


“On behalf of the people and the Government of Nepal as well as on my own, I would like to convey deepest condolences and sympathies to you, and through you, to the bereaved family members. I wish an early recovery of those injured,” statement reads.

Minister Mahat has added that the people and the Government of Nepal resolutely stand by the Government of the United Kingdom and the British people in their continued fight against terrorism in line with Nepal's principled position of condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.


Minister Mahat believed that the perpetrators of this act will be brought to justice at the earliest.


 


At least five people were killed and 40 injured in the terrorist attack in London. Hundreds of detectives’ are carrying out searches at various places to track the masterminds of the incident.
