Govt prioritizes roads to be constructed at local levels

KATHMANDU, May 29: Unveiling the annual budget for the fiscal year 2017/18, Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said the government has allocated budget for the construction of new roads as well as the improvement of old roads.

KATHMANDU, May 29: Unveiling the annual budget for the fiscal year 2017/18, Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said the government has allocated budget for the construction of new roads as well as the improvement of old roads.


 The government has allocated Rs 89.50 billion for roads to be constructed at local levels.

Likewise, it has allocated Rs. 5.54 billion for the improvement of the Muglin-Narayangadh road.


In addition, the government has allocated Rs. 7.11 billion for Butwal- Narayangadh road. Likewise, finance minister Mahara said Koteswor-Thimi tunnel will be constructed.
