Govt. provides blood money to 18 families

KHOTANG, Aug 12: The Embassy of Nepal, Riyadh sent blood money to 18 families who lost their loved ones in various road accidents in Saudi Arab.

KHOTANG, Aug 12: The Embassy of Nepal, Riyadh sent blood money to 18 families who lost their loved ones in various road accidents in Saudi Arab.


During the fiscal year 2074-75 BS, of the 41 cases filed at the Embassy, 18 were finalized and forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which later sent the amount to kin of those deceased in Diktel. The government provided Rs. 2.2 million to family members of Ramnath Rai of Kharmi, Majhuwagadhi municipality-11. Rai had lost his life on Bhadra 20, 2069. Likewise, family members of Debraj Rai, Fedi, Kepilasgadhi rural municipality-1 and Santosh Khatri were provided Rs. 600,000. Debraj was killed in Asoj 1, 2069 while Khatri in Shrawan 26, 2072. Khatri’s address is yet to be ascertained.

The government also sent blood money to the family members of Bhim Bhattarai of Jhapa, Bhupal Dev Limbu of Dhankuta, Rikhu Jaisi of Rukum, Chitra Bahadur Thapa of Tanahun, Devendra Prasad Raya of Saptari, Ek Prasad Lamichhane of Gorkha, Jal. Mo.Rain, Salim Miya, Shiva Kumar Yadav and Jahir Mansur of Siraha, Rambabu Sah Kanu of Sarlahi, Ramesh Pulami of Lalitpur and  Jaya Bahadur Subedi of Gulmi.


The letter suggests that the embassy still has 23 more cases to finalize.
