“Govt will take action against Kamalpokhari encroachment”

KATHMANDU, Feb 22 : Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, has said that the government will take action against the Kamalpokhari encroachment.

KATHMANDU, Feb 22 : Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, has said that the government will take action against the Kamalpokhari encroachment.


Speaking at the face-to-face program on Friday, Minister Aryal said that the government will demolish Chhaya Center, which has been constructed at the heritage site, if it has been found to breach the law.


In another context, Minister Aryal announced to establish at least one revenue office and one survey office in the Kathmandu Valley as a model one in terms of digitalization within 45 days. The program has already been strated from Kalanki revenue office.

She pledged to develop all revenues offices inside the Kathmandu Valley and 131 across the country as technology-friendly entities. “From the local level the work will be transformed from the paper documents to pendrive and we will make it this happen within two years”, she added.  


The revenue and survey system needed to be improved to hit misconducts and malpractices in its procedure and the use of technology in service delivery had been focused for the better results. 


The government would introduce a new act for the proper use of land to increase land productivity, giving priority to the promotion of farmers and protection of Guthi, Minister added. 


As she said, poverty identification program is being conducted in all over 77 districts. This program will help to minimize the poverty of the nation.
