Gulmi reports 106 cases of COVID-19 with two fatalities

GULMI, June 19: Gulmi district has reported a total of 106 cases of novel coronavirus as 46 new cases were confirmed earlier on Thursday.

GULMI, June 19: Gulmi district has reported a total of 106 cases of novel coronavirus as 46 new cases were confirmed earlier on Thursday.


The new cases include 24 in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality, 17 in Chandrakot Rural Municipality, two each in Resunga Municipality and Satyawati Rural Municipality and one in Ruru Kshetra Rural Municipality, according to Pashupati Acharya, information officer at the District Health Office, Gulmi . All newly-diagnosed patients are India-returnee migrant workers, it has been learnt.

Four of the infected 106 patients in the district have returned home after recovery--- one each from Dhurkot, Madane and Chandrakot rural municipalities and Resunga Municipality.


The district has also reported two deaths due to the COVID-19 infection.
