KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Hearing on the 12 writ petitions filed at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR) has begun under the single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana.

All eyes are now on the Supreme Court’s decision as the country’s political course lies in the verdict of the apex court about the fate of the HoR that has still some two years to expire its original five-year term.
Of the 12 writ petitions filed in SC, preliminary hearings on 11 petitions are filed for today. Hearing of the remaining one is scheduled for Friday.
