The SC had issued a short-term interim order on October 28 after a preliminary hearing on the writ petition. The apex court summoned both sides for a hearing on Monday to decide whether to continue the interim order.

A piece of land which was registered in the name of a businessman and was ‘donated’ to the CPN-UML was transferred to the name of Bhat-Bhateni SuperMarket and Department Store, just ahead of the hearing at the SC on the ongoing dispute over the ‘donation’ of the land to the UML.
