HUMLA, Jan 25: Snowfall in different parts of Humla since last night has afflicted the normal life. Various villages in the northern belt in the district have witnessed snowfall since Monday, affecting people’s movement and daily activities, according to local Raj Bahadur Budha.
The area again witnessed heavy snowfall on Friday, adding further woes, he added.
Heavy snowfall affects mountain districts
As a result, the flights off and to Humla have been disrupted since Monday. Though the works of removing the snow at airport area was in progress, the snowfall occurred Friday disturbed it, shared the locals.
The governmental and non-government offices in some parts in the district remained closed Friday.
Meanwhile, road transport has been disrupted in Darchula, Baitadi and Bajhang districts owing to the snow. Temperature has declined sharply with this.
