KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Everest Link Pvt Ltd has officially launched ‘Hello Doctor’ online medical service.
Organizing a program at Namche Bazaar on Sunday, the company launched ‘Hello Doctor’ emergency medical service for trekkers and mountaineers in the Everest region.

Issuing a statement, Everest Link said that the service has been launched with a motive to convey the message to the world that Nepal is safe for mountaineering and trekking. “As the number of mountaineers and trekkers has been increasing with each passing every year, health risk is also increasing. To address the issue, we launched this online service,” the company said in the statement.
The launching event was attended by locals, representatives of several organization, mountaineers and trekkers as well as Kanchha Sherpa, the last surviving member of the successful 1953 Everest expedition.
According to Chakra Karki, media coordinator of Everest Link, the service will come into operation from November 15. He added that the service will be provided in association with Green City Hospital and Swacon Hospital of Kathmandu along with Khunde Hospital, Solukhumbu.
“Through our Hello Doctor online service, mountaineers and trekkers can get connected with doctors to take advice or to get rescue. Domestic and foreign tourists, locals, guide and porters can take health advice directly from doctors using this service,” Karki added. “The service is free of cost.”
