Google’s Android is the most popular mobile platform in recent times. Released over a decade back, the Android is still hyped and preferred in the market.

Google has revealed a number of Android smartphones operating in the market at I/O 2019 Developer Conference. According to Google, the number of smartphones and tablets that have an Android operating system (OS) is around 2.5 billion.
However, those smartphones and tablets which android could not operate via the Google Play store are not included in those numbers. Among them, Amazon’s smartphones and tablets that use Fire OS and a number of Chinese smartphones do not comprise in the aforementioned figures.
