KATHMANDU, March 20: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he did not think that he would have to seek a vote of confidence from parliament again within a short period of his appointment.

While asking for a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Monday, he said, "I didn't think that a vote of confidence would be asked for so soon, because of my proposal that the president should be elected by consensus, the ministers of RPP and UML resigned."

He said that the UML and RPP should answer if their decision was a political and responsible one. "Friends have not said that the vote of confidence had to be withdrawn due to the prime minister's wrong actions or decisions even to this day," he said.
