KATHMANDU, Jan 19: ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup is set to commence on January 19, featuring a thrilling double-header with hosts South Africa facing off against the West Indies, and Ireland taking on the USA.


Nepal, participating for the eighth time since its debut in 2000, is placed in Group D alongside formidable opponents Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Pakistan.

The Nepali team has a match against New Zealand on January 21, followed by a match against Pakistan on January 24 and Afghanistan on January 26.


The Nepali squad, led by captain Dev Khanal, includes Arjun Kumal, Aakash Tripathi, Dipak Prasad Dumre, Durgesh Gupta, Gulshan Kumar Jha, Dipesh Prasad Kandel, Bishal Bikram KC, Subhash Bhandari, Deepak Bohara, Dipak Bohara, Uttam Thapa Magar, Bipin Rawal, Tilak Raj Bhandari and Akash Chand.
