India gifts 30,000 COVID-19 PCR test kits to Nepal

KATHMANDU, May 17: India handed over Pathodetect COVID-19 Qualitative RT PCR Test Kits manufactured by Mylab Pune, to Minister for Health and Population Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, May 17: India handed over Pathodetect COVID-19 Qualitative RT PCR Test Kits manufactured by Mylab Pune, to Minister for Health and Population Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal on Sunday. 


Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Vinay Mohan Kwatra handed over the essential medical supplies on behalf of the Government of India to Minister Dhakal amidst a function held at the health ministry.

The consignment, as a gift from the people of India to the people of Nepal, will enable Nepali health professionals to conduct PCR tests on 30,000 people, according to the Embassy of India in Nepal. Earlier on April 22, Ambassador Kwatra had handed over 23 tonnes of medicines to Nepal. 


A press statement issued by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu said the gifting of medicines and test kits manifests the continuing cooperation of our leaders and people of the two countries to prepare, act and fight together against the common challenge of COVID-19 Pandemic.
