KATHMANDU, May 3: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Nepal on May 16, also marked as Buddha Jayanti in the country, according to the Indian newspaper ‘The Hindu’ in its online edition.
Nepal is preparing to conduct an international flight from Gautam Buddha International Airport on the same day. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Modi are expected to meet in Lumbini Province.

Prime Minister Deuba visited India only a month ago. This will be Modi's first visit to Nepal after Deuba was re-elected as Prime Minister of the country in 2021.
