KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the Indian President's visit to Nepal would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Inaugurating a two-day seminar on "First multilateral dialogue between Nepal and India - New Research' jointly organized by the Indian Foundation, Niti Research Foundation Nepal and Nepal Centre for Contemporary Studies on Wednesday, PM Dahal noted that the two countries have shared multidimensional relations. "Nepal and India do not only share formal relations; there is also the prevalence of people-to-people relations and cooperation from both sides for development. So, Nepal and India enjoy multidimensional relations. Indian President's Nepal visit would further consolidate the existing relations", Prime Minister added.

Nepal is rich with natural heritages, he said, while lauding India's assistance towards properly utilizing the natural resources of Nepal. The Prime Minister also thanked India with acknowledgement for its assistance in hydropower projects, development of different infrastructures including roads and other structures.

He also expressed the confidence that the two-day seminar would help further consolidate special Nepal-India relations.

Director of Indian Foundation Shreeram Madhav said Nepal-India has a very strong multidimensional relation. The two nations have religious, civilization-based and cultural relations, he said, adding that, "Nepal and India have deeper relations -- more than that of the Hind Ocean. Sometimes, there occurs typhoon in the Hind Ocean. The bilateral relations between the two countries have reached to a new height after the downscaling of the tempest".

Former Chief Election Commissioner Nilakantha Uprety shared that at least 10 personalities would deliver their speeches on the themes concerning mutual benefits and interests of Nepal and India.

Visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is scheduled to conclude the seminar on Thursday. RSS
