RASUWA, Nov 22: The deadline for the completion of Upper 'Mailung' hydro project has been hit after the insurance process claimed by the company was protracted.
"If the process of insurance claimed did not complete within a week, the construction work will resume only after the second week of April next year. Around 85 percent of the construction work has been accomplished so far", said Project Incharge Durgasuman Joshi.
Hydro-mechanical work delay hits progress of Upper Tamakoshi
The hydro project of 6.42 megawatt was delayed after it was hit by the floods in July.
According to the project, of the total 930 meters-long penstock, only 300 meters have to be fixed. Similarly, of the total 3,840 meters, only 60 meters head race tunnel has been completed.
Being built on the run-off-river system, the project had started six years ago.
