Investors pledge Rs 1100 billion at Investment Summit

KATHMANDU, March 3: Investors from various countries have pledged to invest more than Rs 1100 billion in various projects during the Nepal Investment Summit.

KATHMANDU, March 3: Investors from various countries have pledged to invest more than Rs 1100 billion in various projects during the Nepal Investment Summit.


According to Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi, the government had expected commitments of Rs 100 billion from the summit but the summit proved to be immensely successful as investors made commitments of more than Rs 1100 billion.

The summit was organized jointly by the Ministry of Industry, the Investment Board Nepal and the National Planning Commission with the theme of 'Harnessing Investment Opportunities in Nepal. The two-day summit is concluding today (Friday).


Businessmen and investors from China, US, European countries, Gulf countries and some African countries, besides the countries of South Asia participated in the mega investment summit.
