Dr KC to remain in custody, hearing on Wednesday
Detained orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC will remain in detention as the hearing of the case of contempt against him did not start on Tuesday.The hearing at the joint session court of Justices Om Prakash Mishra and Kedar Prasad Chalise was supposed to start after the recording of the statement of Dr Kc. However, citing lack of time, the hearing did not commence and is scheduled for Wednesday.

Two more people have lost their lives due to viral fever spreading since three weeks in the district. According to Dr. Pawan Shakya, who is deployed in the district to providing service to the patients, Lal Bahadur Bhandari, 54 from Rawalgaun, Junichande Rural Municipality-3 died on Tuesday and 1-month infant from Maugan, Junichande Rural Municipality--2 died on Monday due to viral fever.

The rivers in the district turned into icy surface. The taps were functionless as the water inside turned into solid. The locals pour hot water on the tap to defrost the ice. The denizens int eh district are compelled to boil ice to drink water.

Singapore arrests 17 suspected in Shell oil heist
Singapore police have arrested 17 men suspected of involvement in stealing oil from the largest Shell refinery in the world. Police said Tuesday that they also seized $2.3 million and an oil tanker in connection with the theft, which was first reported in August.
