Judicial Council recommends transfer of 200 judges (with list)

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended to transfer as many as 200 judges.

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended to transfer as many as 200 judges.


A meeting of the JC held on Wednesday recommended transfer of three Chief Judges of High Courts to the Supreme Court and 197 judges to district courts.


Chief Judge of Tulsipur High Court Bam Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Judge of Surkhet High Court Dambar Bahadur Shahi and Chief Judge of Patan High Court Tanka Bahadur Moktan have been recommended for Supreme Court.

Similarly, the JC recommended transfer of 197 judges, incumbent at the various district courts, to other districts.


The recommendation has been made taking consent from the Election Commission, said JC.
