Kapilvastu COVID-19 tally climbs to 414 with 12 new cases confirmed today

KAPILVASTU, June 4: Twelve more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday in Kapilvastu district. With this, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in the district has reached 414.

KAPILVASTU, June 4: Twelve more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday in Kapilvastu district. With this, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in the district has reached 414.


The newly-confirmed cases include a female and eleven males from two local units. Six patients from Banganga Rural Municipality and six others from Yasodhara Rural Municipality were among those diagnosed with this viral infection, according to the District Health Office (DHO), Kapilvastu. They are aged between two and 48.

The DHO also said that newly-diagnosed patients are in normal health condition.


All 10 local units in the district which shares its southern border with neighboring India, have reported COVID-19 infection --- 106 in Yashodhara, 50 in Maharajgunj, 54 in Mayadevi, 48 in Shivraj, 35 in Krishnanagar, 29 in Suddhodan, 29 in Kapilvastu, 25 in Buddhabhumi, 16 in Bijayanagar and 22 in Banganga.


32 COVID-19 patients from the district so far have recovered while no death has been reported yet.
