KATHMANDU, March 22: Air service providers have said that the Kathmandu-Surkhet flights, will resume after weeks.
The air serive providers expressed commitment to resume flights within 15 days, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari told Republica Online.
The air services had been halted since the blockade on Nepal imposed by sourthern neighbor India.
Airlines companies resume flights to Biratnagar
The air serive providers expressed commitment to resume flights after Tourism Minister of Karnali Province Nanda Singh Budha and Minister Adhikari assured of providing compensation to the airlines companies during recession.
Held in Singha Durbar, present in the meeting were Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Sanjiv Gautam and representatives from Nepal Airlines, Buddha Airlines, Tara Airlines, Sita Airlines, Simrik Airlines and Tourism Minister of Karnali Province Budha.
Budha Airlines has expressed commitment to make Kathmandu-Surkhet flights after two weeks while Managing Director of Nepal Airlines Corporation Sugat Ranta Kansakar vowed to make flights within three weeks.
