KATHMANDU, May 1: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office is to collect the signatures of service seekers online for the purpose of approving house or building blueprint.

In this connection, the KMC is strengthening its online services intended at those seeking a permit to construct buildings/houses and it has already made a policy-level decision to this effect.

Though the Office had switched to an e-system regarding the approval process for a blue print of a design of any physical infrastructure, currently the service seekers have to be present in person at the Office to sign on the approved document.

Once the new provision comes into effect, service-seekers need not visit the office to sign on the approved document relating to the house/building design, according to Office Engineer Ram Thapa.

He said the Office has already taken a policy-level decision in this regard and it would be brought into practice once some technical problems surfaced in this regard are resolved. RSS
