KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Kathmandu Photographer Association is gearing to organize KPA Wedding Photo Awards 2018. In a campaign organized at Bhaktapur, the organizers informed the photographers about their forthcoming competition. Through the event, the organizers aim to hone the skills of the photographers by making them highly capable and competitive.
As per the rules, each competing photographer is eligible to submit up to two photographs by September 8. KPA aims to announce the results of the competition on September 17 at Rastriya Naach Ghar, Kathmandu. The top three winners of the competition will be presented with awards, including Nikon DSLR cameras. The rest of the top 20 participants will be presented with certificates and various prizes.

“The competition will accept photographs from all across Nepal. The photographs reflecting a traditional sense of culture in a wedding environment are highly expected for the competition,” said Bhavdev Thapa, President of the association.
Stressing on the medium for applying for the competition, program coordinator Jivnath Kafle further stated that the pictures could be submitted visiting the website of the association.
“1200 photographers participated in the competition last year. This year we are expecting up to 1500 entries. Like last year, we hope the competition will conclude successfully,” said Bhola Kafle, member of the association.
