CHITWAN, Sept 15: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal today said that India visit of the Prime Minister of country is usually dragged into controversy due to failure to prepare necessary and adequate homework beforehand.
Any Prime Minister of the country was supposed to embark on a foreign visit with much homework, but failure to do so prevented the visit from yielding results, he said while talking to media persons in Bharatpur in Chitwan. "Some of them are caught in problem on their own while some are deliberately pushed into controversy."

He said the party wants any country's head of the government to return from India visit with a head raised, meaning not to ink any agreements with India, going against the interests of Nepal and Nepali people.
He also referred to a memorandum submitted to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal before his India visit by the UML with suggestions only to sign agreement with India during his visit, centering the welfare of Nepali people and Nepal.
He also viewed that Nepal should maintain balanced ties with both India and China. RSS
