Landslides hit Khurkot-Ghurmi road, Mid-Hill Highway disrupted

SINDHULI, July 21: Vehicular movement has been disrupted on the Mid-hill Highway due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall on Tuesday.

SINDHULI, July 21: Vehicular movement has been disrupted on the Mid-hill Highway due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall on Tuesday.


As the monsoon gets active in Nepal, the country has been receiving more than 100mm of rainfall daily across the nation since Sunday.

Landslides in various sections of the Khurkot-Ghurmi road on the Mid-hill Highway have halted vehicular movement in the area.


Huge masses of  landslide debris have blocked the highway at several places according to the local residents.


Similarly, a family of Golanjor Rural Municipality has been displaced by the landslides. They have been moved to a safer destination after the incident.
