KATHMANDU, Jan 4: All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the sister organization of CPN-UML and All Nepal National Independent Students Union Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) affiliated to CPN (Maoist Center) have staged a sit-in in front of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), state-owned oil monopoly on Thursday. They have also submitted a memorandum demanding the withdrawal of the decision to hike prices of petroleum products.

“The price hike of the petroleum products should be rolled back immediately as the increment in the price is against the interest of the common people. The NOC should stress transparency rather than hiking the prices of the petroleum products,” reads the statement issued by the student unions.
