ILLAM, Nov 11: CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal today claimed that the left alliance would give the country a way out by securing a two-thirds majority seats in the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections. "Those criticising the left alliance as trying to impose authoritarianism are themselves in fact following an authoritarian leadership style," he said at a meeting with UML cadres at Dahaltar of Laxmipur in Ilam.

Saying the coalition aims to bring new plans so as to drive the country on the path to economic prosperity, he said, "the country would be given an outlet soon, and change will be brought after the alliance will run the government for the next five years by securing two-thirds majority in the polls." Khanal, who is running in the House of Representatives elections from Ilam constituency 1, also pledged to carry out development activities like in road, electricity, education, agriculture, and tourism sector in Ilam district.
