Local election in Ward-12 of Dhulikhel Municipality postponed

BANEPA, May 11: Local level election in Ward-12 of Dhulikhel Municipality has been adjourned  following the death of one candidate from Rastriya Prajatanta Party who had fielded his candidacy for the post of Ward member.

BANEPA, May 11: Local level election in Ward-12 of Dhulikhel Municipality has been adjourned  following the death of one candidate from Rastriya Prajatanta Party who had fielded his candidacy for the post of Ward member.


Sukulal Tamang, 57, died of a disease related to sugar and hypertension on Thursday, local RPP leader Tulku Lama told Republica Online.

District Election Office(DEO) has been informed about Tamang’s death, said Chief District officer Shiba Prasad Simkhada of Kavre.


“After RPP formally apprises DEO of the death of its candidate, a new date for the election in Ward-12 will be fixed. It will delay the announcement of the election results in Dhulikhel Municipality to some extent”, said Simkhada.
