CHITWAN, May 11: Chairperson of CPN ( Maoist-Center) and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the upcoming local level election is a historic event for the country and the people. Speaking at the election campaigning program in Bharatpur on Thursday, PM Dahal said that the local level poll is not only important for one particular area; it is historic need of the country.
Speaking about the alliance with the Nepali Congress (NC) in the municipality, PM Dahal said that the alliances among the parties were criticized before also. However, he claimed that the alliances had worked for the country and believed that the alliance between CPN (Maoist-Center) and the NC will bring positive result in the area.

PM Dahal, however, said that if the alliance between two parties would have made before the nomination of the candidacy, it would have given better message to the voters. He urged the locals of the municipality to participate in the election and assumed that the alliance will win by large majority votes.
PM Dahal thanked Dinesh Koirala of the NC for his withdrawal from the mayoral candidacy and said that it will strengthen the alliance of two parties adding that the history will evaluate his sacrifice.
