KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The low pressure system in the country's central and eastern regions is being blamed for a sudden change in the weather pattern bringing heavy rainfall.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has attributed the development of low pressure system for sudden rain in most part of the central and eastern regions.

The weather turned cloudy and rained due to the low pressure area in the east and central regions, meteorologist, Bibhuti Pokharel, told the National News Agency (RSS). He said the rainfall was recorded in the western part while the far-western region remained untouched by the recent development in the weather system.
The weather system which developed on Tuesday night will continue until Thursday evening with expectations of a finer weather on Friday.
As per the data available with the Division, Okhaldunga recorded the highest precipitations with 82 millimeters of rainfall while Biratnagar recorded 23 millimeters, Dhankuta 29, Taplejung 37, Kathmandu 24, Bhairahawa 39 and Nepalgunj 34.
Kathmandu's maximum temperature for today is expected to hover around 29.5 degree Celsius and minimum at 18.5 degree Celsius. RSS
