Have your guests ever spilled drinks on your sofa or upturned a bowl of curry on the carpet? Are you tired of trying to make your marbled floors shine? Want your office to be dust-free? Modern Cleaning Service might be of some help in cases like these. S.P Rai started the company after a trip abroad where he witnessed cleaning services like these, and wondered about its utility back home.
He came to the conclusion that services like floor and carpet cleaning, pest control, wall painting and other such tedious tasks weren’t a part of routine cleanup and that people, time and again, needed professional help for it. Back then when Rai first thought of the concept, they had nowhere to turn. Now, with Modern Cleaning Service, thoroughly cleaned homes and offices are just a phone call away.
Book Discussion held at Pokhara
K.P Chaulagai, manager at Modern Cleaning Services, talks about the initial struggles to make people believe that theirs was actually a company that would help people clean their homes and offices. “That was back in 2004, when we had just started out,” he says adding that since then they have garnered a lot of clients that include embassies, UN offices, colleges, and corporate houses. “Our MD, S.P Rai, thought of starting the company so that extensive cleaning wouldn’t be a source of stress for people who already had tens of different things to attend to,” he explains.
The company that started with just three employees now has over 150 staff working for it. And the company strives to provide good service at affordable prices. “It’s not fair to charge the same price for all kinds of work so the rates vary according to the space that has to be cleaned and the nature of work that needs to be done,” says Chaulagai.
Modern Cleaning Services also has supervisors available who will visit your place according to your demands, and make sure that you get the best possible service. According to Chaulagai, when Rai first started the company they didn’t know if they could sustain themselves or not, but they believed in the concept of providing this unique, on-call service and they were thus determined to work hard to succeed in creating value for their business. And over time, they did manage to do that.
“We might have a strong foothold in the service sector today but our vision of providing good service hasn’t changed,” says Chaulagai, speaking on behalf of Rai, adding that the company will never be complacent because it’s tough to survive in the market today because of all the competition they have to face. They will also strive to do better and fulfill their customer’s needs to the best of their abilities.
