KATHMANDU, August 25: Management Association of Nepal (MAN) and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) of India have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote trade, and technical and economic cooperation between Nepal and India.
Issuing a statement, MAN said that the MoU was signed in New Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. MAN President Sushil Bhatta and PHDCCI President Gopal Jiwarajka signed the MOU to work as focal points for their respective countries, and for each other in an effort to establish and develop mutual trade relations between their respective members and also enlarge the areas and scope of cooperation, according to the statement.
“This MoU helps to strengthen bilateral relations between two countries and business communities,” read the statement. The two organizations have also agreed to collaborate and conduct national-level programs such as training, research, consulting, exchange of faculty and students and staff development.
