Maoist Center to vote against PM's trust motion, oppn parties preparing to register no-confidence motion today

KATHMANDU, May 8: The CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to vote against the trust motion introduced by Prime Minister K P Oli in parliament. 


A Parliamentary Party meeting of the Maoist Center held on Monday made a decision to vote against the vote of confidence motion and also make necessary preparation to register a vote of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Oli in parliament if he chooses not to step down.

"We have already prepared a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Oli. We will decide whether to register a no-confidence motion in parliament after seeing how Prime Minister Oli presents himself in parliament," said Maoist Center leader Devendra Paudel. 


A Nepali Congress (NC) leader said the Maoist Center has proposed registering a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Oli if he fails to resign from post even after failing to secure requisite majority votes in parliament.
