Maoist Center wins in 4 local units, RJM 1 in Province 5

DANG/ Rukum/ Rolpa, June 28: CPN (Maoist Center) has won the elections in four local units while Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) has clinched victory in one local unit so far in the four districts of Province 5.

DANG/ Rukum/ Rolpa, June 28: CPN (Maoist Center) has won the elections in four local units while Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) has clinched victory in one local unit so far in the four districts of Province 5.



Maoist Center candidate Bhakta Bahadur Oli  has been elected as the chief of Bangalachuli Rural Municipality and Yamuna Gharti of the same party got elected as the deputy chief.


Oli defeated Bhoj Raj Pandey of NC with 837 votes. Oli secured 3352 votes while Pandey got 2, 515 votes.


Similarly, Maoist Center candidate Gharti has been elected as deputy chief with 3,371 votes. Her closest rival of NC candidate Nirmala Khanal got 2,569 votes.

Likewise, CPN (Maoist Center) has won elections in the three municipalities in the Rapti zone.


In Bhume Rural Municipality, Maoist Center Candidate Ramsur Buda has been elected as chief with 3,482 votes. His closest rival of Nepali Congress candidate Ganja Singh Buda got 1764 votes.


For the post of deputy chief, Maoist Center’s  Man Kumari Bista got elected with 3,494 votes while her rival of Nepali Congress candidate Kamala Khadka got 1,646 votes.


Likewise, in Puthauttar Ganga Rural Municipality, Maoist Center candidate Om Prakash Gharti got elected as the chair with 2,551 votes. His closest rival of CPN-UML candidate Bhiuman Gharti  got 1,263 votes.


For the deputy chief, Maoist Center candidate Om Kumari Shahi got elected with 2,635 votes while her closest rival of CPN-UML candidate Sita Ghatane got 1418 votes.


CPN Maoist Center also clinched victory in Sisne Rural Municipality. Kumari Baral got elected as the chief with 3,296 votes. Her closest rival of CPN-UML candidate Nanda Lal Sharma got 2, 471 votes.


Similarly, for the post of deputy chief, Moist Center candidate Gowardhan Budha got elected with 3, 226 votes.


Similarly, RJM has clinched victory in Mallarani Rural Municipality. RJM candidate Amardhwaj Rana got elected as the chief with 2,328 votes and Sarita GC got elected as the deputy chief with 2,386 votes.
