Minister Lekhak, envoy Yu insist on timely completion of China-funded projects

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong held a meeting Friday, focusing the timely completion of physical infrastructure-related projects undertaking here with the financial assistance of the Government of China.

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong held a meeting Friday, focusing the timely completion of physical infrastructure-related projects undertaking here with the financial assistance of the Government of China. 


During the meeting held at former's office, both sides insisted on finding a solution to problems seen during the implementation of such projects and exchanged views on China's assistance in further infrastructure projects.

The two also touched on the issues of timely completion of the Ring Road Widening Project and the repair of Barhabise-Tatopani section along the Araniko Highway damaged by the Gorkha Earthquake and reopening the Kodari point along the Nepal-China border soon, according to Ministry Secretary Dhan Bahadur Tamang. 


The Ring Road Widening Project funded by China got delayed due to the earthquake and India's unofficial border blockade. 


On the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador handed an invitation letter to Minister Lekhak for the physical infrastructure-related conference to be held in China in coming May. RSS
