KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The government has formed a committee led by an SSP to investigate into the murder of Khursid Ansari.


The Ministry of Home Affairs formed a five member team led by SSP Kishor Dahal for the investigation in Province 1. Other members include SP Ramesh Kumar Thamsu (APF), Tulsi Prasai (Deputy Director, National Investigation Department) Rabindra Acharya (under-secretary, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law) and Rajan Pandey, administrative officer of Sunsari.

The team will be required to present its report on the case within 15 days. Yesterday, an unidentified group had shot Ansari, the operator of Raiyab Boarding School at Harinagar, at Bhutaha Bazaar. Immediately after the murder, a delegation led by Muslims had met Ram Bahadur Thapa and demanded to form a high member investigation committee to nab the culprit.
