Motorcyclist killed after crashing into deer

GAUSHALA, Dec 6: A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a deer at Laxminiya jungle along the East West Highway on Monday. 


The deceased has been identified as Rohit Kumar Mahato, 30, of Janakpur Sub Metropolis - 24, said Superintendent of Police (SP), Nal Prasad Upadhyay, of District Police Office, Mahottari.

Mahato was heading towards Pathalaiya on a motorbike (Sa 4 Pa 2967) when a deer suddenly crossed the road at Lamminiya VDC - 5. The bike hit the deer and crashed when a truck (Na 2 Kha 8115) coming from the opposite direction crushed the fallen rider, police said. 


The Area Police Office, Bardibas has detained the truck drive and impounded the vehicle. RSS
