Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Lawmaker from UML, described the EU report as 'a direct intervention in the domestic affairs' rather than a recommendation. He said, “EU has not tolerated the peace and integration in Nepal, it wants to bring conflicts in Nepali people.”

Likewise, Badri Pandey, lawmaker from NC stressed that the EUEOM report directly interferes in the Constitution of Nepal. “It has made unwarranted comments about political issues that have already been settled and has challenged the provisions of the Constitution of Nepal, said Pandey, adding, “EU has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign Nepal.”

Ram Narayan Bidari, Lawmaker from Maoist Center opined that in the name of election supervision EU undermined the secularism of Nepal. He said, “The Nepal government should be protective against such actions of EU.”

Brishes Chandra Lal, lawmaker from RJPN stated that EUEOM report is suggestive, so we can’t take it as interference. Similarly, Pramila Kumari, Lawmaker from FSFN expressed her views saying that the Nepal governemnt should take the EUEOM report positively. "It is nothing but a waste of time to make a hue and cry over the issue."
