NC lawmakers rose from their seats after the meeting started to obstruct the proceedings. Then, National Assembly Chairman Timalsina allowed NC leader Badri Pandey to speak. Pandey drew the attention of the government toward the protracted hunger strike of Dr Govinda KC, who was continuing his hunger strike for 26th day on Wednesday demanding crucial reforms in the medical education sector.
“We demand the medical businessman, whose controversial remarks have gone viral on social media, be brought within the scope of the law. The home minister should answer to the House about the deliberate use of force injuring NC’s sister wing leaders and decisive talks should be held with Dr KC,” said Pandey.
