National Assembly passes various proposals

KATHMANDU, June 16: A meeting of the National Assembly today unanimously endorsed a proposal tabled before it for deliberations on the Drugs (Third Amendment) Bill, 2079 BS and the Bill Relating to the Security of Health Workers/Professionals and Health Institutions (First Amendment), 2079 BS.

KATHMANDU, June 16: A meeting of the National Assembly today unanimously endorsed a proposal tabled before it for deliberations on the Drugs (Third Amendment) Bill, 2079 BS and the Bill Relating to the Security of Health Workers/Professionals and Health Institutions (First Amendment), 2079 BS. Minister for Health and Population, Birodh Khatiwada urged the session to proceed with the Bills. 


Likewise, the meeting agreed to send the Bill Related to Oath of Office and Secrecy, 2079 BS to the Legislation Committee for clause-wise deliberations. Minister Khatiwada proposed the session to forward the document for clause-wise deliberations on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Meanwhile, the meeting endorsed a condolence motion over the demise of former minister Mithila Chaudhary. The motion tabled by National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina was unanimously passed by the meeting. Chaudhary was elected a member to the Constituent Assembly in 2013 under the proportional representation category from the Nepal Communist of Party (United).
