KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have reached a three-point agreement on Wednesday.
According to the deal, the cabinet will declare those killed during the Madhes movement as martyrs , provide due compensation and free treatment to those injured and withdraw false cases leveled against UDMF cadres, General Secretary of Rastriya Madhes Samajwadi Party, Keshav Jha told Republica Online.
Likewise, the issues related to the number and delineation of provinces, the agreement says, will be resolved through the amendment to the constitution based the consensus of political parties while UDMF will vote for Prime Ministerial candidate Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the prime minister’s election.
