KATHMANDU, July 18: The Nepali Congress central committee is holding a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the recent political development.
The party has said that the meeting would discuss the political atmosphere as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has faced crisis after major ruling partner quit the government, and it was the NC, being the largest political party in the parliament, would lead the national task of constitution implementation.
"How the no-trust vote can be ensured success in the parliament as per the agreement with the CPN (Maoist-Centre) will be the main agenda in the meeting," said leader Bimalendra Nidhi, adding that they would also discuss how the new prime minister could be elected after the passage of the no-trust vote.
Other issues featuring the meeting are the conventions of sister wings of the party as Nepal Farmers' Association, Nepal Cultural Association, Nepal Tarun Dal and amendment of the statute of Nepal Student Union; and incorporating the disgruntled Madhesi parties and groups in the national politics.
