Nepal Democratic Forum unveils elections manifesto

KATHMANDU, May 7: Nepal Democratic Forum on Sunday unveiled its elections manifesto promising to lead the country to the path of peace and prosperity by fulfilling the people’s aspirations for identity, dignity, justice, rights and development.

KATHMANDU, May 7: Nepal Democratic Forum on Sunday unveiled its elections manifesto promising to lead the country to the path of peace and prosperity by fulfilling the people’s aspirations for identity, dignity, justice, rights and development. 


The manifesto was made public by party chair Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar amid a formal function in the Capital. 

In its manifesto, the party has pledged to work on social, economic and political reforms through the promotion of industries, agriculture, tourism and hydropower.

The party has highlighted its role in the promulgation of the constitution. The party, a signatory of the 16-point agreement that paved the way for constitution promulgation in 2015, had worked as a catalyst in bringing the three major parties together. 


In its manifesto, the party has expressed commitment to promote the environment to invest remittance in the productive sector. It has promised jobs to unemployed people, and vowed to introduce special packages to promote the agriculture sector. It has also promised better social security, health care, education and other services to the public.
