Nepal Police, Home Ministry sign work performance deal

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nepal Police and Home Ministry have signed a work performance contract on Tuesday. 


Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai and Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal inked the performance contract amid the presence of Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Thapa urged police to become more accountable and sensible towards given duty and responsibilities. “I am assured that this contract will play a significant role to help the government achieve its ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ goal,” he added. 


Speaking at the same event, secretary Rai reiterated that the contract will result in better as such kind of deals remained successful in the past. 


The deal incorporates several crucial issues such as making public administration credible and committed to law implementation, simplification in the service-delivery process, transparency, timely accomplishment of assigned task and improvement in home administration. 


IGP Khanal informed Republica Online that the deal includes seven terms and conditions related to work performance and twenty-two goals for work-performance.
