Kathmandu Valley alone recorded 1,912 new cases in the past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, April 26: As many as 3,556 people have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours.
Of the 3,556 new cases detected across the country, 1,567 new cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 223 in Lalitpur and 122 in Bhaktapur districts, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Nepal records 316 new cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hours
According to the Ministry of Health and Population(MoHP), a total of 12 deaths linked to the COVID-19 were recorded on Monday alone.
Meanwhile, 378 people, who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours.
As many as 303,561 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nepal including 277,951 recoveries and 3,176 deaths as of Monday.
In the past 24 hours, as many as 12,400 people underwent PCR tests and 893 others underwent antigen tests.
There are currently 268 COVID-19 patients in ICU and 78 are on ventilators as of Monday evening, according to the MoHP.
