KATHMANDU, June 30: Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has recorded 316 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking Nepal's COVID-19 national tally to 13564.
At a daily media briefing, Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the MoHP said that 245 males and 71 females from various parts of the country tested positive for COVID-19 during tests conducted at various labs in the past 24 hours.
Nepal records 638 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours
Of the total COVID-19 infected persons, 11,907 are males and 1,657 are females.
Gautam shared the country's province-wide data on the coronavirus infection. According to him, Sudurpaschim Province has witnessed 121 cases of coronavirus infections. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sudurpaschim stands at 2457. Province 5 has recorded 47 new cases of coronavirus infections today, taking the provincial tally to 3,807. 82 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Province 2 in the past 24 hours, according to Gautam. "As of today, Province 2 witnessed 3,794 cases of COVID-19," he said.
Gandaki Provice recorded 25 new cases of coronavirus infections today, taking the COVID-19 count to 1,017, according to the spokesperson. With 13 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in the Karnali Province soared to 1,436, he said.
Province 1 has witnessed 12 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 595, Gautam said. "The number of COVID-19 cases in the Bagmati Province has reached 428 with 16 new cases today," the spokesperson said.
